The Core Code

The framework, taught — learning to think on purpose.

Most of life runs on autopilot — fast, automatic, mostly invisible. That's not a flaw; it's how a brain saves energy. But a life lived entirely on autopilot is a life nobody is authoring. The Core Code is the steamHouse framework taught directly: fourteen elements that show how thinking actually works, and how to take the wheel — to catch yourself, and choose.
Reflective Thinking the throughline runs through 12 spokes and turns outward at Generativity

Throughline

Reflective Thinking

The throughline — catch yourself, choose. The one move that runs through every other element: noticing your own thinking while it's happening, so you can do something other than the default.

The turn outward — development isn't complete until you develop others. Where the work stops being about you and starts being about who you bring along.

Start anywhere. Reflective Thinking is the move every other element depends on — but you don't have to read in order. Pick the door that names what you're wrestling with, and follow it from there.

The measurable spine

The framework, measured

You've met the fourteen elements — the framework taught. The same framework becomes something you can see and track: 78 Development Markers, a deliberate choice about what's worth measuring in a human life. They sort by the same three faculties the Core Code names — Heart, Head, Body.
